Filipinos  eat oysters (Talaba). I have eaten as much oysters cultivated in Liloan in Cebu. Anyway it’s too cheaper than in Japan. Was it 60 pesos per kg?

Oyster cultivation is thriving in Japan as well. September to April is the season. In Japan, a large oyster is also caught, and one may cost hundreds of yen.

And, Japanese eat oysters raw. However, it is limited to those of waters that are suitable for raw eating by water quality survey.

Oysters caught in other areas are sold for heated cooking.
