Umeboshi

Plums are fruits popular in Japan. However, we eat it as pickles instead of dessert.

“Umeboshi(梅干し)” is a salted plum. It is popular as a ingredient of onigiri, because it is matches with rice well.

We often put it in lunch boxes to eat later, because Umeboshi also has a bactericidal effect.
